Do you recognise any of these?

“I’m too old to change career”

Codswallop! I changed career when I was 38 and I guarantee I’m far from the youngest to pursue and embrace change. It is totally possible.

“It is too risky to give up the career I’ve built”

Agreed, there is risk, but, your option is to remain unhappy and unfulfilled, or to pursue happiness. I’m here to tell you it is worth chasing happiness. Don’t put a ceiling on what you can achieve. There are safe, sensible and smart ways to approach change.

“You need to be smart to be a computer programmer”

Certain traits lend themselves to programming. I’m here to help you look within yourself and realise you already have many desired attributes!

“I don’t have time to learn a new skill”

I’m sure you find time to voluntarily do things that if you’re honest with yourself, subtract from your happiness in life (such as procrastinating in front of the TV, doom scrolling on social media, nursing a rotten hangover every Sunday). You’re telling me you can’t make time to do something that is not only fun, and challenging, but will reset your work/life balance so that everything feels like “life”?
